Why do most social media strategies do not work for you?

Most entrepreneurs I meet are 3 major mistakes on social networks:

they try to impersonate someone else

they invest in advertising budgets and adopt the same strategies on boards like Google Adwords

they measure anything and are afraid to sell!

So they try to have the most fans and potential followers but for what purpose? You probably know, less than 10% of fans of a Facebook page to see your publications. I'm not even talking about the click through rate on these publications. On Twitter it's even worse! Most people will make retweets never go on your site! If you use these techniques, you know it does not.

So ok, most entrepreneurs will tell you that social networks are used to create links with the community. Why not! But you can have the best of intentions, it is not this that will help you grow your business.

Think about it: do you know of companies that really do the business on social networks without spend 10 hours a day and without spending thousands of dollars? And, take your own case. The facts are there: Most companies do not have policies on social networks. Automatically republish all your blog posts to Twitter and Facebook is not a strategy!
