Since its launch in 2011, Google has continued to grow. The social network Google has now reached 359 million active users if one believes the figures proposed by Business Insider. Several changes were made to the platform since its opening including a pretty spectacular update and very recently in terms of design.
I registered on Google+ since its opening. I can now boast to me to be an "early adopter". I can also boast of having help almost daily since that time. I have always been very attentive to updates and changes proposed by the social network of Google. So it is now with great pleasure that I decided to share this guide will allow you to start you on Google+ calmly. And even if you are an active user of Google+, I'm sure this post will teach you a few tricks that you never knew existed.

1 - CREATE YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE
You cannot escape it, as on any social network, you will have fine-tune your profile. If you already have a Google account to a service such as Gmail, Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, YouTube or any other Google service, your Google+ account should already be accessible. To verify this, log on to your account and go to Google+. If you have none of this, I invite you to create a Google account now.
Make sure you create a Google+ profile with the Google account you use most often. Do not use an email address that does not belong to you, and please do not use an account you share with others.
Let us now review all the elements that make up your Google+ profile.

The space for the cover photo of a Google+ profile is enormous: 2120 pixels wide to 1192 pixels high. This means that you choose a high-definition image. Google+ offers image bank in which it is possible to come to choose but no ... Enjoy this important space to choose a visual that best expresses what you want to display.
History
In the "Bio" on your profile, several sections of information are mandatory. The first relates to your story and consists of the following: "Description", "Presentation" and "Your greatest successes."

While the term "inbound marketing" appears in the "Introduction" of my personal profile, the 77 characters selected by Google do not go back extract my most adequate description. After a little investigation, I noticed that Google+ proposed a more adequate sample pages for business and users profiles.
Please consider embed links in your presentation to maximize the visibility of your most important sites. These links are indeed likely to appear in search results snippets.

Professional Career, Training and Addresses
The "Career" section enables you to enter the information for your profession, your skills and your current position. The sections "Training" and "Addresses" speak for themselves.
Note that three information is included in your profile cover image. This is your current employer, your final training and your latest address. So make sure that this information is up to date.

General Information and Contact
In these sections, you will be able to give a multitude of diverse information: what you need, your birthday or your relationship status, an email or a phone for example.
Connections
The section dedicated to links is divided into three parts: "Other Profiles", "downloads by author" and "Links".
Is meant by "other profiles" your profiles on other social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Quota for example.
In "Also author of", you'll add links to the websites for which you have contributed. Emphasize these pages is sometimes called "About the Author". This section is important to the extent that you claim initially Google+ paternity (or the famous "Authorship") to the content you create and feed in a second time your "Author rank" that is to say, the level of confidence that Google is affecting you and which impacts the Google search engine results.
Finally, you will be able in the third part of information links of all kinds to sites that belong to you or not but remaining in your interests. This part does not have greater visibility foolproof, please also provide links to your personal blog or to your professional website in the "Overview". So how to claim its Authorship, you ask?
There are two ways. The first is to simply type in your Google+ profile a mail address including the same domain name as the site for which you regularly contribute. Of course, if you regularly contribute on multiple domains or if you do not have email on the same domain as your website or blog, this solution is not inappropriate.
So one comes to the latter. This is to include two links: a link from the "Also author of" part of the "Links" section of your Google+ profile and a link from the page hosting the content you create to your Google+ profile. This link must include the parameter? Rel = author.

5 - CREATE AND MAKE GROW YOUR AUDIENCE
On certain aspects, such as Twitter Google+ works. Anyone you are likely to follow will receive a notification alert. This user will have plenty of time to follow you in return. Or not. Remember also that if you embark on the creation of a public community, you will have yourself regularly face some spam.
7 - USE THE SERVICE GOOGLE + Hangouts
One of the most amazing features of Google+. Hangouts are live video chat can bring up to 10 people. You can choose to stay in private mode or you can decided to go public event live on YouTube.

Take the time to participate in some Hangouts just before you begin creating your first video conference. Visit the "Hangouts On Air" and choose from Hangouts that appear.
Obviously you'll have to think about the right strategy to implement. Here are some good ideas that can register as part of your overall strategy: to inform your audience on topics related to your industry, record interviews, organize a webinar using the option of sharing your screen, run a question and answer. The possibilities are endless.

8 - SYNCHRONIZE YOUR PROFILE WITH YOUTUBE GOOGLE +
