I just spent a week in Mexico. I came back with more than 4,000 photos. Yes, I have "4000 photos"!
And this for two reasons:
1 / return with a maximum of memories
2 / exploit these photos to make money
Here's how I'm going to take:
1 / Sell my photos
There are many sites where you can sell your travel photos. To name just one: fotolia.
We do not have much cash on the sale of a picture. We must therefore rely on the quantity, and - above all - over the term. But just how small rivers are the major streams, small gains end up making large sums over time. It is mathematical.

And of course, the more you have photos to sell, the more you increase your chances of making sales. It is also one of the reasons I took over 4,000 photos. But not the only one:
In fact, when I photograph something, I shoot. I use a SLR Nikon D-5000, which allows me to do 1 photos per second, or less. Why? Just because there may be failures (blurring, a ray of sunshine, blinking, etc.) By 5 photos at a time, so I am more or less sure to get at least a that is salable.
As soon as my memory card is full, I transfer all my Dropbox space.
And do not forget that any picture can be sold ...
To go further, you can pick up a few books on the subject.
Personally, here are three that I study:
The practice of digital SLR: all you need to know to operate your SLR.
Focus on Digital Photography: An all-in-one indispensable.
Landscape photography: a small very well done book that explains how to shoot landscapes.
I also recommend - and most importantly - the practical guide 'Club Photographers explains some useful techniques to take good photo. And also: how and where to sell them.
2 / Making Affiliate Travel
You know that when looking to take a trip somewhere, looking at the opinions of those who have gone there before us. This is normal. But not enough ...
Why? Because these opinions are just a few lines, and show that 3 or 4 pictures. And above all these opinions are rarely written by a copywriter. Do you see where I'm coming from?
You can make a good sales page that is both:
Informative: you give full details of the trip, the hotel, excursions, entertainment, cleanliness, restaurant, etc. You put your best photos.
Tempting: you make the offer irresistible.
How to earn money as well?
Easy: you register on the affiliate program of the agency through which you passed. In my case, it was New Frontiers, which pays up to $ 45 per sale. And 0.25 dollars per entry to their newsletter.
Then you just have to identify the keywords used by those seeking opinions on the journey you have made. Choose the keywords on which you can position the more easily. And voila.
Ultimately, it is possible that these 2 techniques you repay your vacation. I firmly believe.
For my part, I'll put them up all 2. I will keep you informed of the initial results.
And you? Do you have vacation pictures that could earn you money?
