Google monetization Criteria
As soon as one of your videos meet a little bit of success (over 15,000 views, it seems), Google offers to monetize this video with AdSense. This is the case for video on the Windows Vista and Windows 7 flaw I had realized.
But conditions are draconian, the Youtube giant is taking no chances. Here is what is asked:
"The basic rules are simple: for a video to be eligible, you must have distribution rights worldwide for all of the video content and must comply with our Terms of Use and settlement of the community.
Specific examples of probable causes of the denial of a video:

Specific examples of probable causes of the denial of a video:
Your video has content that you did not create or that the author has not authorized you to use, such as:
Music
Video images
Photos or illustrations
Live Event
videogame extract
other content protected by copyright
Your video shows people you have not consented to.
Your video contains content that may be inappropriate for children. We limit the YouTube Partnership Program to videos that can be presented to all age groups.
We attach great importance to our Terms of Use and Regulation of the community. We ask that you respect them. Rather than removing your videos on the site, we want to help you get the most out ensuring compliance.
If your video does not respect these rules, it can be removed from the site.
In other words, impossible to monetize a video which you are not only the creator of all parts. But that's not all, and Google does not hesitate to put words into capitals to make you understand:
"For the YouTube Partner Program, the use of the contents of someone else IS NOT PERMITTED, even if you:
edit together or "mash-up" other
change 10%, 20%, 30%, etc. content.
only use 30 seconds of a song or a video clip
have found on the Internet
have not received any notices of copyright by anyone
was purchased (bought a CD or digital title for example)
cite the authors' names
do is sing in the words of one of your favorite songs protected by rights auteu
Even if you are the author of 100% of the video you can not use an audio track if it is not you, even if you purchased it. As this was not enough, Google ask you to confirm the video monetization contract.
If you answer yes to any of the questions you will have to justify yourself in the text box just below ... After that, Google can take two weeks to accept or validate your request.
Also note that you will receive 55% of revenues advertisements. Yes anyway, Google likes to take his piece of cake, after all the video is hosted on its infrastructure.
All that to say that it will be difficult to draw an income from your videos if you use elements not owned by you (which is not devoid of all logic). However, it remains you the ability to use your own voice to your images or to opt for the royalty free music ... but I admit that it really limits the creation or the impact that you want.
